Disenchanted with the big city, James Lyon-Shaw and Jamie Dobbin – who met working in the kitchen at the world-famous Ivy restaurant – traded in London’s sooty tube and concrete vistas in favour of leafy scenery and community spirit. Following the much-acclaimed opening of The Greene Oak, Windsor they then brought their signature rustic cooking and a warm hospitable welcome to Mayford and opened The Drumming Snipe in 2020. The Greyhound is their third venture together and look forward to it becoming a pub that the local community are proud of.
The Greyhound’s beverage offering is one which suits all tastes and pallets. We have created a wine list with everything from accessible wines to the more unusual biodynamic wines. With our Coravin wine system we can offer exceptional fine wines by the glass. We have regularly changing cask beer on rotation from local brewers and premium lagers and ciders also available on tap as well as a great selection of bottled beer.
Our interesting range of low and no alcohol drinks means you have a choice of soft drinks, juices, mocktails and kombucha drinks.
